Edina Honored as a Top Community for Young People

Edina receives a national accolade for the second year.

For the second year in a row, Edina has achieved national recognition as one of America’s Promise Alliance’s “100 Best Communities for Young People.” The city has received the honor for its renowned community programs, such as the ABC (A Better Chance) Foundation, the Edina High School May Term Program, The Van Valkenburg Children’s Fund, The Edina Chemical Health Partnership, and “Youth Frontiers,” a youth group which sponsors day-long retreats for students that focus on kindness, courage and respect. Edina also boasts a 98% high school graduation rate, a low youth poverty rate of 2.5%, and consistent number-one rankings in Minnesota Standardized Testing.
