Mom.com founder and Melrose Place heartthrob Andrew Shue loves mothers (and who doesn’t), but now, the moms of Edina hold a special place in his heart. He visited them this November, while hosting a launch party for his new mom-centric website mom.com at Pinstripes. Local who’s who, business owners, and even Mrs. Minnesota Yasmine Ryback were on hand to support the website and its mission.
New York-based Mom.com is an online community-focused website that publishes content from local bloggers and forums where mommies can chat about a variety of parent-centric topics.
“We want to help local causes that are important to moms in this community and to support local businesses—such as Amore & Fede on 50th and France (where I picked up a great pair of jeans for my wife),” says Shue. “I encourage the mothers of the Twin Cities to visit mom.com; it's free to sign up. Use your voice, get involved and let's help each other.”
Mom.com contrubitor Natalie Hagemo believes that Mom.com is about empowering females and supporting them, not only as mothers, but as women too. “We are also going to be hosting monthly events involving everything from wine tasting and makeup tips, to exclusive shopping events and topical speakers.”
