You know there’s not just one big art festival in town. On September 10 and 11, the ninth annual Fall into the Arts Festival returns to Centennial Lakes Park, where more than 200 artisans and exhibitors will be showing and selling their goods. Festival organizer Pat Dawson promises an assortment of exciting new artists, as well as old favorites representing diverse media such as photography, sculpture, wearable arts, glass, fibers and painting.
Where to start navigating the hundreds of booths? A few of our favorites include handcrafted soaps and artisan bath products from Amy Brooks, concrete garden sculptures from Jim and Barbara Schroedl of Stoneworks, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces from Alejandra Klaric of Senora Peel and photographs from former “purple people eater” Vikings player-turned-photographer Matt Blair.
Also be sure not to miss artist demonstrations courtesy of the Edina Art Center and scrumptious bites from area food vendors.
