Chamber Series concert features music by Mozart, Beethoven.
The Minnesota Orchestra has warmed concertgoers all winter long, with brass and percussion renditions of popular Christmas carols and holiday tunes in December, and a performance of Bruch and Brahms in late January. But the orchestra isn’t finished. On March 17, the Colonial Chamber Series will welcome spring a little early with an evening of classical wind octets, sextets and trios. Co-artistic directors J. Christopher Marshall and Ellen Dinwiddie Smith will collaborate with musical colleagues to bring some of the world’s most beautiful music by Mozart and Beethoven, as well as lesser-known composers Franz Krommer and Anton Reicha.
