Edina Art Center’s Artistic Diversity

Edina Art Center showcases students’ work.

The student show at the Edina Art Center (EAC), which opens April 4, is a thrilling event for artists and art appreciators of all ages. Each EAC student is invited to exhibit one piece of artwork that they’ve created over the past year, with work ranging from beginner to highly skilled.

“I find that the student show makes for a really interesting compilation of artwork due to the variety of work represented and to the diverse approach each student takes to what they create,” says Anne Spooner, program and specialist at Edina Art Center. The show not only provides students with the opportunity to showcase their work in a gallery setting, it is also a non-juried event, inspiring confidence within the students in a risk-free environment.

This year, the student show will feature pottery, sculpture, drawing, painting and metal jewelry. Come meet the artists behind the work and celebrate the artistic talents of Edina. Refreshments will be served at the opening reception from 5 to 8 p.m. April 4. 952.903.5780; edinamn.gov
