Piccadilly Prairie, located just outside of Edina at 50th Street and Xerxes Avenue, is recreating the weddings of yesteryear in its vintage products and refurbished furniture. On March 15, Piccadilly will host a vintage wedding event that might rival last November’s Great Gatsby release and winter preview, which featured artful displays of wooden shoe forms, ribbon-wrapped hardcover books, little houses made from windows and barn wood, mannequin busts, vintage ice skates filled with greens and a fire-engine red rotary phone from bygone days. Edina Magazine photographer Marty Andreasen was on hand to snap photos, which you can view at piccadillyprairie.com.
MplsStPaul Magazine wanted a Gatsby theme for its weddings issue, explains Piccadilly Prairie owner Lacey Brooker. F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, set in the early 1920s, is making a triumphant return to style in anticipation of the remake of the film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, which will hit theaters this spring. piccadillyprairie.com
