Earlier this year, Bruce Locklear’s colleagues selected the Edina High School principal to serve on the board of directors for the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). “It’s an exciting time, and I’m humbled to be selected to serve my constituents at a national level,” says Locklear. “I’m excited to work on the policy level and represent our interests at that capacity.”
The NASSP provides professional development to approximately 30,000 principals nationwide. Locklear began his first training session in June in Virginia and met with other principals again in October. He will serve as a liaison between the national board and the Midwest chapter of the association.
