If there’s one surefire thing that always seems to bring people together (and get them talking), it’s food. That’s why this month, some 500 aspiring gourmands will gather in the name of food and drink at this month’s Taste of Edina, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
On May 12, nearly 20 Edina-area restaurants will fill the Centennial Lakes Park Centrum building with small plates featuring the best flavors and newest trends (gluten-free, anyone?) from their menus. Expect to try delectable appetizers, tantalizing main dishes and decadent desserts from the likes of Big Bowl, McCormick & Schmick’s, Salut Bar Americain, Good Earth and new kid on the block Mozza Mia, among many others. You certainly won’t go away hungry, promises Edina chamber president Arrie Larsen Manti.
And lest you be thirsty, Edina Liquor will be on hand pouring 80 different wines—everything from dry Spanish reds to sweet California whites—and 20 local and imported microbrews of all price ranges. Should you like what you taste, the featured wines will be offered for sale at a reduced price through Edina Liquor stores May 9–28 (check edinaliquor.com for the full roster).
Tickets are $30 and available online at edinachamber.com, by calling 952.806.9060 and at all Edina Liquor locations.
