It’s May, the lilacs are in bloom, temperatures are surging and 20-year Edina employee Ann Kattreh is enjoying her first spring as Edina’s director of parks and recreation after assuming the role last December. Kattreh began working for the city in 1992 as Edinborough Park’s special event coordinator. As director, she is responsible for all public parks and recreation facilities in Edina, including the art center, Edinborough Park, Centennial Lakes, the Aquatic Center, Braemar Arena and golf course. Kattreh also coordinates extensive recreation and athletic programs for the community.“I work with a tremendous group of people in the city, and it makes my job enjoyable and rewarding every single day. This has been my dream job since I was 12 years old,” says Kattreh. “I couldn't be more happy or more proud to be serving the residents of Edina as their parks and recreation director.”
