What makes a perfect party? If you were to ask Antoinette Ramos, she’d likely say that a big part of it is creating the perfect aesthetic experience for your guests. It’s this love of entertaining that led her to open custom stationery and event design boutique Paperista last year, which this July moved to a gorgeous, sparkling new location at 50th and France.
“We couldn’t wait to get over to this community,” explains Ramos, who previously had been working out of a gorgeous—albeit increasingly small for their growing business—space in Minneapolis’s Semple Mansion. Custom event stationery is Ramos’s bread and butter, but the new space will offer new opportunities. “We want to be the ultimate destination for anyone hosting an event or simply entertaining guests—beyond the momentous occasions (weddings, etc.) we’ve become known for,” she says.
Ramos brings to Paperista a history of event design (creating high profile events on both coasts before moving to Minnesota with her husband three and a half years ago), and a background in graphic design. In addition to their famed couture stationery, Paperista also offers artisan greeting cards, entertaining accessories, everyday stationery, luxe on-trend gift items and designers who will be available to style event environments (right down to the last table-scape detail). “It’s a thrill to turn a simple room into a gorgeous event space,” she says. “I believe in style and grace from event beginning to end.”
