Local Edina athletes, as well as current and retired professional hockey players, helped raise over $15,000 for the Angel Foundation at the Big Futures Tournament and Family Festival. The Big Futures Family Festival took place in April 20 at Schulz-Highland Arena. Hockey fans of all ages were able to meet, get autographs from and take photos with former Minnesota Wild players Wes Walz and Ryan Carter as well as current Minnesota Whitecaps player Brooke White-Lancette. In addition, players from the Edina High School boys and girls championship hockey teams were on hand to play with young hockey players. Other highlights included a fire truck visit, lunch, open skating, face painting, an indoor egg hunt and chuck-a-puck!
