City and education leaders meet regularly to advance common goals.
Partnerships between school districts and city government aren’t unusual. In Edina, however, the relationship is “unusually positive and productive,” says city manager Scott Neal.
The City of Edina and Edina Public Schools share common goals: value community, advance education and support kids. Neal meets regularly with school superintendent Ric Dressen to discuss joint facilities, student health, staff training and more.
“By working together, we can produce higher-quality services and facilities for our residents,” Neal says. The two like to create a better living and learning experience for the community.
