EDINA, Minn. – From August 8 through September 30, Pilates ProWorks, the boutique fitness studio concept known for its contemporary twist on traditional Pilates, is collecting diapers of all sizes to help support local mothers in need.

Roughly 1 in 3 American mothers report experiencing diaper need and nearly 5.2 million children in the U.S. aged three or younger live in poor or low-income families and are in need of diaper assistance, according to the National Diaper Bank Network.

“As a mother, I know the importance of clean diapers and the health risks soiled diapers pose to infants and young children,” said Taylor Carter, co-founder and president of Pilates ProWorks. “We want to do our part to help support struggling mothers. So many of our clients can relate to how overwhelming motherhood can be, so we hope to provide them with much-needed relief.”

Diapers will be collected at the Edina studio, located at 7491 Frances Ave. All of the diapers collected will be donated to the Diaper Bank of Minnesota an official partner of the National Diaper Bank Network.

Pilates ProWorks’ diaper drive is a part of a larger brand-wide initiative, “Restore Your Core,” which emphasizes the importance of empowering mothers to practice self-care.
