New Dave & Buster’s in Edina has something for everyone.
Brendan Dougherty, Michael Strong, Kevin Menken and Eric Holt enjoy an after work happy hour of appetizers, beer and games.

It’s new. It’s fun. It’s Dave & Buster’s at Southdale. The 41,500-square-foot entertainment venue is impressive, with a staff of 200, a sports bar atmosphere, games galore, and a full bar and kitchen.

Located on the third level near Macy’s, the new Dave & Buster’s is a destination brimming with diversions. “A lot of families come in, hang out and have a good time,” says Blaine Hastings, general manager.

There are 165 of the latest arcade games, some exclusive to Dave & Buster’s. The flashing lights and clamoring sounds beckon you to play. Complete your experience with some prime sports viewing, upscale American food and creative cocktails.

Sports fans can enjoy their favorite games on 44 TVs, some as large as 10 feet. All this game viewing and arcade playing is bound to make you thirsty. Go for a margarita, Coronarita, beer, wine or a creative cocktail. Adult snow cones infused with liquor come in a rainbow of flavors.

For lunch, dinner and late-night bites, head to the 260-seat dining room. The chef-crafted menu has a Southern influence, with twists on familiar standbys. A tower of comfort food, the mac stack is an architectural wonder of macaroni and cheese, sliced short ribs, glazed onions and grilled white bread. Go lighter: Dig into the lawn mower salad with tidy rows of bacon, tomato, green peppers, radishes, eggs, blue cheese, onions and cucumbers. Or give in to temptation with a delicious slice of bananas Foster pie, gushing with New Orleans-style charm.

Dave & Buster’s also has private event space for corporate functions, sports viewing parties, birthdays and rehearsal dinners. Rooms accommodate groups of all sizes. Or the entire venue can be reserved for even larger-scale parties. Dave & Buster’s is a great Edina destination for just about any fun occasion.
