Keeping it Classic at Beaujos

Beaujos Wine Bar & Bistro has new owners, but the same neighborhood charm.
Austin and Amanda Wagner toast to Beaujos’ continued success.

Edina residents Austin and Amanda Wagner have been long-time fans of Beaujos Wine Bar & Bistro. “This is just a place we’ve always loved and been connected to,” says Amanda. The couple fell in love with the restaurant’s cozy atmosphere and small-town vibe, despite its location in the bustling 50th and France area. So when an opportunity arose for the couple to purchase the business, “it just kind of came together,” says Austin.

The Wagners hope to keep Beaujos’ integrity intact, while striving to make it their own. They are planning to modernize a few details like the bar and lighting, and hope to have the project completed by the end of summer. Amanda says they’re going for “a look that’s a bit timeless.”

As for the menu, the new owners understand many of Beaujos’ classics have dedicated followers; however, new menu additions are not off the table. They are especially excited about their spring and summer wine list which includes an on-trend rosé flight, tap prosecco and Beaujolais, their namesake.
