The second Edina Film Festival, fresh off its inaugural year last October,
the festival returns October 25-27 and brings with it a crop of new and acclaimed locally themed films.
The Edina Art Center last year screened eight films, ranging from indie features to Sundance-acclaimed short films to documentaries, and even an old classic. This year, the festival hopes to expand and evolve into features and local directors, and is working with Edina High School (EHS) to involve the community. EHS students will be responsible for the festival’s official poster and will also have the opportunity to enter their own films in the festival for consideration.
Keep an eye out for a director or two making their way through town to introduce their film at the festival, and stick around for a Q&A discussion. Tickets for the screenings can be purchased at the Edina Theater or at tickets.landmarktheatres.com.
