The Edina Family Center Hosts Biennial Wings Gala

The Edina Family Center hosts biennial event to raise scholarships.
The Edina Family Center's biennial event raises scholarship funding.

The Edina Family Center (EFC) will host its biennial Wings Gala on January 25. For the past 30 years, EFC has played a dynamic role in the local community, providing high-quality early childhood family education with grades 1–12 parenting classes.

Two years ago, the Wings Gala raised enough money to provide $8,000 worth of scholarships for the Edina Family Center. Since 2002, the gala has donated more than  $30,000 for early childhood education. This year EFC has also partnered with BidPal, an electronic bidding company. BidPal’s website enables guests to access event information, learn more about auction items and make donations with the click of a button.

The event takes place once every two years, so EFC depends on these funds to provide Edina citizens with child and parent scholarships, classroom improvements and curriculum enhancements. This year’s Wings Gala takes place at 6 p.m. at the Interlachen Country Club; tickets cost $50 per person. For more information on how to donate to this worthy cause, email wingsgala@gmail.com.

An earlier version of this story reported that tickets cost $50 per couple, not $50 per person. We regret the error.
