Annual Winter Ice Festival at Centennial Lakes Park

Join the Winter Ice Festival at Centennial Lakes Park.
The Winter Ice Festival returns to Centennial Lakes Park.

The annual Winter Ice Festival is back at Centennial Lakes Park, and this year it’s bigger and better than ever. This all-in-one event includes activities, food and fun for the entire community.

On January 13, be sure to join the festive activities, which include horse-drawn sleigh rides, an ice carver, face painting and ice skating.

“The uniqueness of skating at Centennial Lakes Park, combined with the festival atmosphere, lends itself to a magical day for families all over the metro to play outside and enjoy each other’s company,” says Laura Knollmaier, Centennial Lakes Park assistant manager, “We welcome everyone to bring their own skates out or rent from the park and enjoy at day outdoors!”

Not interested in ice skating? Try the Norwegian ice sleds, which are available for rent. The sleds provide ice rink fun without the skates, as someone pushes the sled passenger around the rink.

Admission to the Winter Ice Festival is free; skate rental costs $5. The festival will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. at Centennial Lakes Park.
