“I was in a big hurry and I was rushing out my back door and I noticed (the heart-shaped leaf) on the driveway,” recalled Lori Anne Yang. “It made me stop and smile because it’s so beautiful, and I snapped a photo with my camera phone.” For Yang, the leaf was a nice reminder to slow down and notice the things that are hidden in plain sight. “There’s so much beauty all around, and when we rush around we miss it.”
