Edina Senior Center provides a support group for caregivers.
The Edina Senior Center hosts many activities and events throughout the year. One of these is the Caregiver Support Group. This program is devoted to caregivers, be it for an elderly parent or a spouse with special needs. The group meets on the first Thursday of every month from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Edina Senior Center and is free.
“The Caregiver Support Group provides a place for caregivers to express their feelings, frustration, to learn from one another, to help share coping strategies and talk about their experiences in a safe place,” says Krystal Wiebusch, a senior community services social worker.
