Needlework Unlimited offers classes to create holiday crafts.
Creative holiday gifts can be found at Needlework Unlimited, from classes and accessories to handmade sweaters and mittens. Classes range from beginners’ crafts to specific projects, such as creating mittens or ponchos.
Gift certificates are available for classes or materials. Owner Karen Rumpza says she’s been working on gearing some classes toward students on holiday break as it’s a great time to learn something new. It’s also a great social activity and crafts created in class can make great gifts.
Rumpza has been knitting mittens for homeless teens in celebration of her 60th birthday this year. “That’s very near and dear to my heart—and it has nothing to do with selling yarn, it just has to do with giving back,” she says.
