Programs to keep kids reading.

It can be hard to keep children reading once school’s out for the summer. Local reading programs can help.
Barnes & Noble offers a program where children can fill out a journal as they read books. When they reach eight books, they can bring the journal into any Barnes & Noble store and choose a free book from a selected offering.
Southdale Library also offers many reading clubs. These include everything from “My First Book Club” to “Read the Book, See the Movie.” More information and registration can be found at the website here.
