When Edina city clerk Deb Mangen first started working in city government 39 years ago, everyone in her office still used typewriters. Even with all that’s changed over the years, Mangen is still excited to come to work each day. “I just feel like I still have something to offer,” Mangen says. This year, Mangen was honored with the Mayor’s Community Involvement Commendation for her years of service to the Edina community.
“Her leadership has been critical in ensuring fair and free elections in our community, and we could not thank her more for being the wonderful person that she is and the tremendous leader in her vocation,” said mayor Jim Hovland about Mangen at the annual Volunteer Awards Reception in April.
