Edina High School (EHS) is starting off the school year by welcoming back, Troy Stein, this time as the new assistant principal and activities director.Stein began his high school teaching career at EHS in 1998, but left to teach at Chaska High School in 2004, and served as the assistant principal and athletic director there for five years.With his return, Stein hopes to continue the school’s tradition of great academic and athletic programs.“I understand the dynamics of a system that really excels and strives to be the best,” Stein says. “It was enticing to come back and renew relationships.”In his position, Stein will focus on working with athletic coaches and Minnesota State High School League sponsored athletic programs.“Troy recognizes there is an academic component as well as athletic,” says Susan Brott, communications director at EHS. “We’re excited for him to join the team.”
