Edina Mom Wins "2016 Images of Edina" Education Category Award

Last year in August, Andrea Bryant of Edina was outside with her then third-grader enjoying what their neighbors call a bus stop breakfast to celebrate the first day of school. “All the parents are there with cameras,” Bryant says. But that day, “the bus was earlier than expected and the kids took off running.”

Say Cheese!

Lisa Hafey’s photo “Say Cheese” took top honors in the Doing Business category of the 2015 Images of Edina photo contest. During a regular day at Jerry’s Foods, Hafey, with her Canon Rebel camera, visited Carolyn, pictured in back, and Mary, in front, at the cheese sampling table. Hafey visits often, always after her favorite cheese: triple crème délice. What keeps her coming back is these women’s cheerful personalities.

“They’re both just radiant people,” Hafey says. “I just love shopping there, and they make it such a positive experience. I wanted to honor them.” Read more about Say Cheese!
