The Southdale YMCA offers summer programs for kids of all ages. Kids can join the Summer Power program, a full day of activities offered three, four or five days a week, meant to encourage independence, healthy living and reduce summer learning loss. They are available to kids in grades K-six with Pre-K options.
The YMCA’s Summer Uproar program, also a full day experience offered three, four or five times a week, is for preteens and teens to build independence, learn leadership skills and healthy living through field trips, activities and exercises. This is for students in grades five through eight.
Or try the week-long Summer Sports program that gives kids a chance to build character and self-confidence through sports. A variety of sports for all skill levels will be offered, for players in grades K-6.
See the YMCA website for registration, costs and other programming options.
