One of my favorite things about fall is football. I look forward to lazing on the sofa with the family on Sunday afternoons to watch the Minnesota Vikings play. On Tuesday, August 6, neighbors around Edina congregated outdoors to celebrate Edina's Night to Unite. The event, similar to those held around Minnesota provided an opportunity for residents to get to know the folks who live on their street and in their neighborhood. Some of the great exhibitions at the Edina Historical Society stem from curious museum visitors. Folks drop in to learn more about the community or reminisce, and occasionally ask to see historical artifacts related to specific time periods, events or people. Marci Matson, executive director for the Edina Historical Society noticed many visitors ask about Edina’s historical hockey prowess. Active older adults in Edina are redefining what it means to
be a senior citizen. Around these parts, age is only a number and many of the
upcoming events planned at the Edina Senior Center prove this point. In
addition to crafts and cribbage, Edina seniors are invited to a beer tasting
event at the Edina Senior Center on Wednesday, June 25, to play tennis at Todd
Park every Thursday morning at 9 a.m. throughout the summer, and to practice

weeks now and I’m thrilled with how it turned out. I’ve been at the helm as
