Local author Colin Nelson leads a discussion with other local authors about their work, styled after the television show Inside the Actors Studio. This month, Dean Alger, who wrote a biography of Lonnie Johnson, the legendary blues guitarist, will be speaking about his book. Alejandro Ziegler Tango Quartet

Enjoy the music and dance that's captivated the world since the beginning of the 20th century with the Alejandro Ziegler Tango Quartet from Buenos Aires in concert.

This concert will take listerners on a journey, beginning in Buenos Aires in 1882 with a style full of grace and liveliness, evolving through the "Golden Age of Tango," and ending with Piazzolla.

Uptown Art Fair

The Uptown Art Fair in Minneapolis is the winner of more than 115 International Festivals and Events Association Awards, and it isn’t hard to see why. The Art Fair is three days of creative fun, from art activities to wine tasting to a Culinary Arts competition. There is non-stop entertainment ranging from reggae to magic on the performance stage, and festival food galore. The main star of the show, however, is the art: ranging from limited editions to one-of-a-kind treasures from more than 350 talented artists from around the world. Free. Color Drawing Workshop

Learn color gradation techniques through simple blending exercises with a color pencil that you will later apply with pastel, pen, ink and watercolor.
