Mark Your Calendar: Sever’s Fall Festival 2021

Mark your calendar for a season (or two!) of fresh air activities from Sever’s, starting with the 2021 Sever’s Fall Festival. This year’s corn maze theme Mythical Creatures will include a host of legendary characters like a mermaid, unicorn and the Loch Ness monster. As always, the corn maze is just the beginning of the activities included in the Fall Festival Admission. Here is a sampling of the other ways to keep your family active and entertained: Obstacle course, enticing entertainment, corn pit, see and touch exotic animals, live music and more. Free Horse & Carriage Rides

Bring your blankets and take your loved one for a spin around 50th & France! Nolan Mains is sponsoring free horse & carriage rides on Friday, February 12 from 3-7 p.m. Rides begin outside the entrance to the Nolan Mains apartment building, 3945 Market Street. There will be a representative outside taking names and numbers so nobody needs to wait, and can shop around or grab a bite before receiving a text when their ride is ready.
 

Blizzard Ball

Players in grades 2–8 have an opportunity to experience Edina's premier off-season baseball training camp. Low player to instructor ratio, led by Edina High School coach Tom Nevers.  Read more about Blizzard Ball

Edina Youth Ski Club

Free Horse & Carriage Rides

Experience the magic of 50th & France! Free horse & carriage rides will be offered every Friday and Saturday evening throughout November and December. Santa and Albert Free Play from Bachman's ONLINE

Something strange is happening in the North Pole – Dasher and Dancer are having trouble flying, Santa’s chimney training exercises aren’t going as planned, and Rudolph’s nose is not very bright…or shiny! When Santa, Albert, and their good friend Sprinkles discover that the Christmas Magic Tank is on the fritz, they’re worried they’ll be stranded at the North Pole and won’t be able to deliver presents for Christmas! Pumpkin Smash and Bash

Edina residents can recycle their pumpkins at the free Pumpkin Smash & Bash from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Countryside Park. The event will feature a pumpkin-rolling contest, and then attendees can smash and bash their pumpkin and toss it into piles of compost. Winners of the rolling contest from each time slot will get to have their pumpkins dropped from an Edina Fire truck unless an emergency arises that requires a response from the department. Composted pumpkins will help grow even more pumpkins next year!

Unity Day

UNITY DAY, the signature event for National Bullying Prevention Month, will take place on Wednesday, October 21. This is the day when people around the world come together to unite for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to create a world without bullying!

The call to action is simple: wear and share the color ORANGE!

Unity Day was initiated by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center to encourage students, educators, parents, community members, schools, businesses, and organizations to show their support for bullying prevention in one giant, orange message of hope. Read more about Unity Day

HalloBoo Drive-Thru

Put on your costumes, decorate your cars, and get goody bags or treats from local organizations as you drive through the spooktacular route at the City’s HalloBoo Drive-Thru from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28. The route will take participants from the Edina Art Center to Rosland Park by the Edina Aquatic Center parking lot and provide an alternative option to door-to-door trick-or-treating. DJ Bob will be at the Rosland Park shelter ready to entertain as participants near the end of the route. Read more about HalloBoo Drive-Thru
