The Edina Chorale kicks off
the holiday season with two concerts, “Peace
on Earth:  Peace, Pax, Shalom.” “Peace
on Earth” may be the song of Christmas angels, but peace is a common theme for
people of many faiths, and no faith:  peace on earth, peace between
individuals, peace within families, peace between cultures, even peace among
and between religions. Join the Edina Chorale as we explore many different
iterations of peace in story, poetry, traditional carols, Christmas motets, and
folksongs. The concert will showcase music of Gabrieli, Frank Ticheli, 
Carly Simon and Sara Teasdale, from Israel, South Africa, England, and the
United States.

The program will
be presented in two locations: 

Saturday,
November 21 at 7:30 pm

Gethsemane
Lutheran Church, 715 Minnetonka Mills Road, Hopkins

Sunday, November
22 at 4:00 pm

Normandale
Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Road, Edina

Tickets ($15, or
$5 for students K-12) will be sold in advance and at the door, and a reception
