The Edina Hornet Marching Band is one of 23 bands nationwide selected to march in the American Legion 100th National Convention parade in downtown Minneapolis on Sunday, August 26, 2018.  The parade begins at 4 p.m. at the intersection of Nicollet Avenue and 5th Street South, then travels down Nicollet Mall to 13th Street South.  Bud Grant is the Grand Marshall, and participating in the parade will be Legion representatives from each state.  The American Legion returns to Minneapolis, the city that hosted its first National Convention, to kick off its centennial celebration.  The 100th National Convention takes place at the Minneapolis Convention Center from August 24-30, 2018.
