Over the last six years in America, opioid overdose deaths have increased from roughly 15,000 deaths per year to 33,000. There was a 12 percent increase in opioid involved deaths from 2015 to 2016 in Minnesota. The greatest number of opioid-involved deaths continues to be due to commonly prescribed opioids; accounting for over 50 percent of all opioid overdose deaths in Minnesota. Help us educate and protect communities, families, and children in great cities like Edina across Minnesota.
Unmask Opioid Addiction is Minnesota's first-ever masquerade gala working to combat this public health crisis. We'll be joined by special guests, influencers, and the recovery community.
