Experience Creativity, Food and Fun at the Edina Art Fair

Edina’s annual three-day art fair is back for its 51st year June 2-4. Work by artists across the nation and Canada will be on display. “We have mediums from 2D, sculpture, glass, fiber, wearable art and green art,” says Rachel Thelemann, executive director of 50th and France Business Association. But this fair is more than just art.

Three restaurants from the area— D’Amico, Red Cow and Arezzo— are participating this year, along with food trucks and entertainment. Food trucks will offer classic fair food, among other popular food truck vendors like Hot Indian and Anchor Fish and Chips.

Kids’ activities make this fair fun for the whole family, with crafts and bounce houses. The two headliner bands will be the Finn Band on Friday, June 2 at 7 p.m. and Hornucopia on Saturday, June 3 at 8 p.m. There will also be a cook-off with three local restaurants and a featured beer or wine on Saturday afternoon.

New this year is a wine garden next to the beer garden, now located at 50th and Halifax. “There’s lots to do,” Thelemann says.
