For a Good Cause, for the Right Price

The Edina Garden Council Plant Sale provides an economical start to your gardening season.

As you plan for this season’s gardening, the annual Edina Garden Council plant sale should definitely be on your radar. At this year’s sale, you will find a wide variety of annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables, as well as hanging baskets and containers arranged by garden council members. “We are kind of like the boutique of the plant sales,” says plant sale chair Karen Platt. Though the proceeds of the sale are used for many worthy causes such as horticulture scholarships and various city horticulture projects, prices are well below what you might find at a commercial retailer. The event is free and open to the public, with convenient parking. Be sure to stop by and get your gardening season started off right.
