The Minnesota State Hockey Tournament is over. Edina took home two championships this year, with both the boys and girls winning state. Both games went to overtime, too, with the boys beating Eden Prairie 3-2 in OT and the girls topping Brainerd 4-3 in double overtime. It was the third straight state title for the girls.
Now that the tourney is behind us, we can celebrate the real winners: the 2019 Minnesota State High School All Hockey Hair Team. That’s right, the state’s most anticipated YouTube video of the year has arrived.
It’s not all good news, though. The creator says this year’s video, the 10th annual edition, is going to be his last.
“After 10 years, this is the last video I’ll be doing, so let’s go out with a bang, shall we?” he says. “Let’s make this the Grand Flownale.”
