Tyler Nanne has always dreamed about playing hockey for the University of Minnesota. After deciding to transfer from Ohio State due to medical reasons, Nanne is glad to be back in his home state and able to carry on the tradition of being a third-generation of Nanne Golden Gopher hockey players. “I’m excited to get back into shape and skate with the guys. Taking 10 months off of the game was hard, but I am now able to work out and skate again,” says Nanne. “I’ve enjoyed being home and going to school for sure. It’s been a great adjustment.”

A lurking blood vessel malformation in his brain began its siege minutes before Pieper’s debut as a freshman on the Hill-Murray High School varsity hockey team. In place of his dreams of hockey stardom, Pieper found illness, surgery, infection, paralysis, months of hospitalization and lingering disability. They Make Being Green Look Easy

Brad Atol, head coach of Edina’s U14A girls’ hockey team, the Edina Green, says there’s no magic involved in being a championship team. The essentials are hard work, dedication, and, most importantly, comradery.

The Edina Green really get along well. It’s a recipe for success. The girls dominated during their 2014-15 season from mid-November to February, and won the state championship March 15 in Stillwater. Read more about They Make Being Green Look Easy
