Monaco Meets Edina

Annual Emerald Gala features “A Night in Monaco.”
Posing inside the photo booth at last year's Emerald Gala were (top row) Mary Jo and Jon Barnett, Paul mooty, Joe Arends and Mayor Jim Hovland, and (Bottom row) LaRae Hovland, Ann Arends and Kate Lewis.

Don’t have the time off for this year’s impromptu trip to the French Riviera? Fret not, for you can still enjoy “A Night in Monaco” at this month’s Emerald Gala. The glitzy event is an annual benefit for the Edina Chamber of Commerce.

“Last year’s event was a huge success,” says Chamber president Lori Syverson. “At the end of the night we had 100 guests who did not want the evening to end. This year we added Las Vegas-style gaming, a photo booth and auction bidding via your mobile phone.”

So come ready to network and socialize in the High Rollers Room while enjoying a three-course dinner, and prepare to bid for raffle items in the silent auction following your meal. Complimentary drinks will be available at 9 p.m., courtesy of sponsor Hellmuth & Johnson. Or bring your poker face and your good luck charm for a fun-filled night at the casino (black ties are admired but not required). Non-chamber members are welcome too. Tickets are $150 per person or $1,800 for a corporate table sponsor. All proceeds benefit the Edina Chamber’s year-round programming.
