Edina Chamber to Host Annual Gala
For Last year, at the Great Gatsby–themed Edina Chamber Gala, attendees took a trip to the roaring 1920s. There were feather boas, elongated cigarette holders and actors dressed as gangsters from the era—interacting with guests in a hilarious fashion. This year, gala guests will take another trip—this time to Hollywood.
Medical Community Looks to Edina
To many, Edina is considered the gold standard in terms of providing its residents an outstanding quality of life. Already known for exceptional retail, dining, entertainment and education, Edina may one day also be known as a medical services destination or metro area wellbeing hub.
Monaco Meets Edina
Don’t have the time off for this year’s impromptu trip to the French Riviera? Fret not, for you can still enjoy “A Night in Monaco” at this month’s Emerald Gala. The glitzy event is an annual benefit for the Edina Chamber of Commerce.
“Last year’s event was a huge success,” says Chamber president Lori Syverson. “At the end of the night we had 100 guests who did not want the evening to end. This year we added Las Vegas-style gaming, a photo booth and auction bidding via your mobile phone.”

Edina CEOs of the Round Table
Last month, the Edina Chamber of Commerce and the Edina Community Foundation co-hosted a “CEO Roundtable,” an event to promote economic growth in Edina. The roundtable’s keynote speaker was Kathy Tunheim, the senior advisor to Gov. Mark Dayton on job creation. Tunheim addressed issues that affect the entire state’s business growth, and afterward five local CEOs discussed how Edina has responded to these demands at a local level.
