New Mom's Night Out

Mom's Group makes it easy to keep up with friends

Kara Scott created the idea for the moms’ night group after seeing a need in other moms to socialize. She says, “We were just looking for something where moms can come together and connect.” With the help of Kim Bauer, a monthly moms’ night at Wooddale Church was born.
The program is for moms of newborns to 5 years old. On the second Wednesday of each month from September through May, participants can listen to a variety of speakers on topics including health and wellness, container gardening, best type of swimwear for your body and more. Each event runs from 6:30–8 p.m.
The cost is $10 and includes nursery care for the little ones. Pre-registration is preferred, but Scott says, “I always encourage people to just show up” to see if they like it and want to register for more. The group is not limited to Wooddale Church members.
