Lynette Biunno is often the first face you see when stepping inside Edina City Hall. Biunno is the city’s friendly front-desk receptionist. For the past seven years, she has made a conscious effort to learn everything she can about the city of Edina and its governance. Her goal is to answer any city-related question with ease. Yet Biunno still finds that at least once a day, she gets a question she has never encountered before. While tough questions might fluster others, Biunno loves the challenge. “I’m always learning,” she says.
Biunno lives in Minnetonka but Edina holds a special place in her heart. “It’s just so picturesque,” she says. Biunno recalls Centennial Lakes being the first park she and her husband discovered after moving to Minnesota from New York 19 years ago. They still love to visit Centennial Lakes during every season. And Southdale Center has been Biunno’s go-to shopping destination for years. Above all, Biunno loves interacting with all the people who call or visit City Hall. “I love Edina residents,” Biunno says. “I’ve come to know everyone’s needs.”
