The Crash Reel presented by Ampersand

Ampersand in the Galleria is a go-to shop in Edina for fine gifts, tableware and home decor. And for 20 years, Ampersand shoppers have been able to find hand-crafted glass and pottery created by Simon Pearce, a Vermont based artisan of beautiful heirloom quality tableware and home décor made for everyday enjoyment.

On April 9, Simon’s son, Kevin Pearce will be a guest speaker at Edina High School in conjunction with a screening of the 2013 HBO documentary film, The Crash Reel, The Fall and Rise of Snowboarder Kevin Pearce

Kevin Pearce was once a competitive snowboarder and Olympic hopeful. But in 2009 he suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) while attempting a Cab double cork in a halfpipe in Park City, Utah. Following his recovery, Kevin became an internationally known sports commentator, motivational speaker and advocate for education and research on TBI.

The April 9 presentation is a collaborative effort between Ampersand and Simon Pearce to benefit the Love Your Brain Foundation. Kevin will speak about his TBI and the Love Your Brain Foundation he co-founded to raise awareness to brain injury prevention, rehabilitation and brain health.

Join forces with one of your favorite local retailers and help Ampersand help those affected by TBI.
