More than 1 million Americans have Parkinson’s disease, a neurodegenerative brain disorder, and there is no cure. Learn more about the disease and the latest research and treatment when Rose Wichman, manager of the Struthers Parkinson’s Center, Golden Valley, Minn., presents “The Parkinson’s Talk” on Tuesday, April 14 at 1 p.m., at Covenant Village of Golden Valley, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities.

The Struthers Parkinson’s Center provides medical care, support groups, clinical research opportunities, education, respite care, social services and wellness activities for people with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers. Today Struthers is one of 29 National Parkinson Foundation Centers of Excellence in the United States and 39 globally.

The free discussion is open to the public. Covenant Village of Golden Valley is located at 5800 St. Croix Ave. N., Golden Valley, Minn. For more information or to register for the event, please visit www.CovenantVillageofGoldenValley.org or call (877) 804-7017.
