Look no further than Centennial Lakes Park for a beautiful walk and a reconnection to nature. Most days in summer, you’ll also find exciting musical acts.
Kicking off July are the talented young musicians from On the Air. They will play hits we all know and love, from the swinging ’60s all the way to the moody ’90s. The On the Air group is composed of high school students, ages 14-18, from the Edina and Minnetonka area, all with a passion for music.
A week later, the Northern Winds Concert Band takes the stage. This concert band was formed in 1979 when several parents of Bloomington Kennedy High School students decided they wanted an outlet to perform again. The band has about 50 members, including some original participants.
No matter your musical preference, you’re sure to hear something enjoyable by the lake this summer.
