How are you kicking off the New Year? For many, this is a time for new goals and beginnings. A time to break bad habits and start fresh. One of the most common resolutions is some variation of starting a regular exercise routine, losing weight or getting healthy.

Giovanna Ingram discovered her love for the game of basketball in her hometown of Hollywood, Calif. with a group of neighborhood kids and a cheaply made hoop. “Growing up in Hollywood, we did not have organized sports,” Ingram says.
Since the Edina location of Mainstream Boutique opened at Centennial Lakes Plaza last April, it’s been a place where generations of women have found common ground.

Ava Roy, a sixth grade figure skater has already surpassed most kids her age by winning the Minnesota State Championship for figure skating. If she continues at this rate, there is no doubt we will be seeing her at the Olympics in the future, which is her ultimate goal.
