James Patrick Miller conducts the 83 student musicians who will perform a variety of works including pieces that showcase instrumental soloists. “The Solitary Dancer” by composer Warren Benson features Mia Massaro, solo dancer.
Flutist Alex Johnson, 2017 Edina High School graduate, looks forward to returning to his alma mater to perform with the ensemble.
The wind orchestra, founded in 1878, is the oldest touring musical group at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.
The concert will take place in Fick Auditorium at Edina High School, 6754 Valley View Road on Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m.
