Meet some exemplary students of the Class of 2020. We shine a Senior Spotlight on four students at Edina High School who are dedicated, hard-working, have a mind for service and enjoy giving back to the community.
Caroline Bercaw’s face graces every single package of Da Bomb Bath Fizzers. After all, she and her sister, Isabel, are the creators of the bath bombs. Edina High School staff nominated Caroline for the philanthropic work she does through Da Bomb.
“Giving back is one of our core values. We have something that’s called the Earth Bomb. It was one of our first bath bombs. We wanted to give back. Part of the proceeds goes to organizations that help clean up the oceans,” Caroline says, adding the company is also donating to more humanitarian causes such as clean water.
“We donate to The Water Project. They tell you exactly where your proceeds are going, and you can see the impact you’re making,” Caroline says. Da Bomb’s donations have helped build wells in Kenya for 2,000 people in six different communities.
Caroline says Edina Schools have helped her on her journey.
“It’s been a really great community. Our friends are great and supportive. The school has been supportive. It’s been a healthy environment for us. Even though Edina Schools have been supportive … it is still a challenge to maintain a balance between school and work.”
Caroline hopes to attend a four-year business college and continue at Da Bomb as its co-chief creative officer focused on branding, marketing and product development.
