The Southdale YMCA in Edina, a leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, will partner with St. Paul Peterson, a renowned musician and six-year Southdale YMCA board member, to host a Night of Classic Rock at Dakota in downtown Minneapolis on November 26.

The benefit will raise money to support the Southdale Y’s efforts in bridging the opportunity gap for youth in the Twin Cities by providing over $400,000 a year in scholarships for academic, service learning and enrichment programs. The evening will feature the Classic American Rockers, along with a short program with dinner and drinks available for purchase.

The “Classic American Rockers” includes Paul (has performed with Steve Miller, Peter Frampton, Boz Scaggs), his brother Ricky Peterson (has performed with Steve Miller, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks), sister Patty Peterson, (KBEM Jazz 88 Host, vocalist) and a few special guests. The Petersons will be inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in November of this year.

“The YMCA is committed to supporting youth development and providing resources to help young people thrive,” said Glen Gunderson, president and CEO of the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities. “This extraordinary event is a unique opportunity to bring the community together with a love of music for an important cause.” Event sponsorship opportunities are available that may include reserved seating, sponsorship recognition, a VIP pre-show meet and greet with the musicians, and commemorative Y gift.
