Pump Up the Jam

Each spring, the Edina High School choir performs “Current Jam,” a pop variety show that features the year’s hit radio songs. The performance is wildly popular among choir participants and spectators alike. Choir member and high school senior Kristin Beese says, “Most people join high school choir to participate in the spring concert,” Fellow senior and choir member Jack Halverson agrees, saying, “People who usually aren’t involved in music will do choir.” Read more about Pump Up the Jam

Lemon Girls

Edina High School seniors are required to complete a May term project. This includes the option of taking part in a project outside of school. For many senior girls, becoming a “Lemon Girl” is an ideal way to spend May term. Since 2011, a select number of Edina High School senior girls – affectionately termed “Lemon Girls” – have helped organize the annual Lemon Run/Walk on behalf of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a national nonprofit dedicated to ending childhood cancer.
