Diligent efforts lead to Bob Wilson's Lifetime Achievement Award
It’s a wonderful feeling to be recognized for your hard work—even better when recognized by your peers.
“It was the first award to be given at the [Minnesota Association of Assessing Officers, MAAO],” says Bob Wilson, assessor for the City of Edina. “I truly was very shocked.”
The MAAO helps assessors with a variety of things to help them do their jobs, and its Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Wilson for his instruction. As new assessors come in, the more seasoned ones teach them.
“You don’t see yourself doing this job, you just sort of fall into it,” he says. “It’s why I really enjoy being an instructor when I can.”
