Chuck & Don’s Pet Food Outlet celebrated the grand opening of its Edina location in April at the Yorkdale Shoppes. This is the chain’s 19th store in Minnesota. The grand opening featured an appearance by Staci Matthews from KS95, sessions with a pet communicator, pet portraits, nail trimmings and micro-chipping. All donations went to Twin Cities Pet Rescue. Chuck & Don’s sells high-quality brand-name products that can’t be found in big-box stores. The Edina location has added Abby’s Pet Place, an in-store community room that can be used for hosting events and where animals can run around. The store also hosts adoption events and information sessions for rescue organizations. Chuck & Don’s locations are always fully staffed, and the company prides itself on customer service.“We’re able to have longer conversations with customers to get to the bottom of any dietary issues that people are noticing with their pets, or any other questions they might have,” says Alisha Balzer, assistant manager at Chuck & Don’s.
